Mobility Ambassador Program
Are you interested in public transportation and its future in the Treasure Valley?
City Go, a program of Valley Regional Transit, is excited to launch the first-ever Mobility Ambassador Program later this year.
The inaugural Mobility Ambassador Program will consist of 10-15 selected community members participating in a series of behind-the-scenes guided tours, talks, and discussions with transportation experts and community leaders.
Participants will gain knowledge about the opportunities and challenges facing public transportation in the Treasure Valley, as well as insights about electric vehicles, bike/walk audits, pedestrian safety, and a more connected community.
Apply Today!
APPLICATIONS ARE CLOSED.
Applications were open from Feb. 1, 2022 to midnight Feb. 21, 2022.
Anyone interested must complete an application to be eligible for selection. The application consists of demographic questions and short response questions that will be qualitatively scored to determine the selection of the inaugural cohort.
Participants of diverse abilities, backgrounds, experiences, and knowledge are strongly encouraged to apply!
Incentives
We recognize that your time is valuable. We also know that some folks might need to make special arrangements with family or work to be part of the tours that occur during Saturday mornings. To help ensure an array of participants are eligible, we’ve designed this program with incentives after each tour that may help accommodate the time needed/taken for tours.
Please note: If you do not need an additional incentive (beyond the free swag everyone will get), we encourage you to “opt out” in the application (on Question 18) so we can include more folks of diverse abilities, backgrounds, experiences, and knowledge in this program.
Selection Criteria
Those selected to be part of the 10-15 person cohort must:
Be 18 years of age or older
Reside in Ada County or Canyon County
Be able to transport themselves to the start of each tour at Main Street Station in downtown Boise
Represent an array of abilities, interests, cultural backgrounds, experiences, and knowledge
Abide by the federal mandate of the TSA and wear face masks at all times during all tours, unless socially distanced and spaced outdoors
Respectfully conduct oneself when conversing with local leaders and experts at each tour
Be genuinely interested in public, active, and sustainable forms of transportation
