A carpool, short for "carpooling," is a transportation arrangement in which a group of people, TWO or more individuals, share a single motor vehicle to travel together to a common destination. The primary purpose of carpooling is to reduce the number of vehicles on the road, thereby decreasing traffic congestion, lowering fuel consumption, and minimizing the environmental impact associated with single occupancy vehicle usage.

Carpoolers get big discounts on parking in downtown ParkBOI garages. As a City Go member, you can purchase a carpool parking pass for only $75/month. Carpoolers move to the top of the ParkBOI parking wait list and have access to priority spots. To qualify, everyone in your carpool must be a City Go member.
