A carpool, short for "carpooling," is a transportation arrangement in which a group of people, TWO or more individuals, share a single motor vehicle to travel together to a common destination. The primary purpose of carpooling is to reduce the number of vehicles on the road, thereby decreasing traffic congestion, lowering fuel consumption, and minimizing the environmental impact associated with single occupancy vehicle usage.
The road less raged.
Sharing the ride lightens the load on our roads. It’s a great way to reduce traffic, save money (up to 50% on parking costs), or make some new friends. Carpoolers use their own vehicles and share the ride. Some share transportation costs and driving duties, but it’s totally up to you and your carpool crew.
